Cycling from Cheverny to the châteaux of the Loire Valley
The Loire à Vélo itinerary, which is fully signposted and developed, offers more than 900 km of cycle paths. From the Sources de Cheverny, you can follow some of these cycle routes, choosing the one that suits you best. Alone, with the family or as a couple, there is something for everyone. It takes fifteen minutes by bike to reach the Château de Cheverny, which inspired the Château de Moulinsart in Tintin! Less than 30 km separate Cheverny from the town of Blois, capital of the Loir-et-Cher, where you can admire its cathedral and royal castle. If you prefer to explore the wooded paths and small roads and have the chance to see deer, roe deer or rabbits, there are easy loops leading to the discovery of the neighbouring vineyards, such as the AOC Cheverny and Cour-Cheverny. A 24 km circuit will take you in less than an hour and a half to the Château de Chambord and its sumptuous French gardens.
To be discovered along the Loire by bike
From Cheverny to Blois, via Chambord and Chaumont-sur-Loire, the châteaux of the Loire à Vélo will hold no secrets for you. However, beyond its rich historical heritage, the region offers magnificent landscapes and some attractions not to be missed.
